About Me

My photo
Flint, North Wales, United Kingdom
The business of photography has become tougher every year and this is not just down to the financial crisis. Everyone now considers themselves a photographer, even though they have no idea of the market they are dabbling in. This has destroyed business for the professionals and many can not survive and make an honest living. I have reverted to taking images for myself only and have to tend to a day job in order to continue my photography. This is the space I share my images, gripes and experiences.

Move nearly done...

Its only been a few days of moving and I am nearly done. I hate moving furniture and luckily there is very little to get to the new house. All my 'stuff' has been packed and transferred.
I did however get a chance to take stock of all my photography gear. I figured out I have far too many cameras.
Funny thing is that my favorite is the oldest and cheapest of the lot!
Its my battered Nikon D1X that I bought through ebay.

I like how it takes images.
The wife would love me to fill the dust bin with Nikon equipment. That ain't gonna happen! However, I guess I shall not buy anymore for a long time.

I promise.

Moving Accommodation

As I am currently moving accommodation, I had to dig through quite a few boxes in order to decide what to keep and what to get rid of. They say that if you haven't touched it for more than 12 months... you don't need it and it can go.
Well, I am not getting rid of all my negatives, be they 35 mm or medium format.
I can't remember why I took this image but I must have been fascinated with a pile of bricks stacked on top of each other.
Its a weird one, I know.
The weather went bad again. I hate snow. It caused far too much trouble this winter.
Go away snow!
We don't want you here!
Doesn't help that I don't have any winter tires on my car.

Bugger!

Back at Work

What a day...!

Its been busy in the office. I thought that I may be able to cope quite well but as I only got back from visiting my brother at 0100 hrs in the morning, I struggled a little with the yawning and tried to fight off the overwhelming tiredness.
I just left too late before embarking on a 6 h drive through the full length of the country. Anyway, the picture is one of my brother's cats. Thought I'd share this one as I feel it shows what cats are all about: EVIL!

Had to do some moving tonight. I was hoping for an early bed but had to move clothes into the new house. I hate moving. I hate packing...so everything was just forced into the bags.
The wife will have a fit when she finds out.

Really tired now.

Had a Great Weekend

Managed to catch up on some family gossip. My Bruv is all over his new job and my mother is happy she has seen me again...after nearly a year.
I just don't visit my immediate family enough.

Whilst visiting my brother I went shopping in Augsburg. It was a shop called 'No 7' that had all the interesting gadgets a man coud want.
Well, it was a Gentlemens' outfitter. They had everything a man could want.
Cigars, pipes, single malt whiskeys...etc.
Lots of shiny stuff.
I just whished I had won the lottery.
No such luck though.
I didn't spend much, just bought two cigars, nothing else.

That should keep the wife happy.

The Wife's pissed off again!

Well, I've done it again. She hit the roof when I decided to go and visit my brother for the week-end!
It just happened to be without her. Oh, I forgot to mention that it was our 10th wedding anniversary?

Doh!

Well, I afforded myself another bit of stupidness!!!

Also was introduced to my Bruv's new Cat. Its a massive Manecoon (dunno how to spell it). Its a beast.
